The knitted cotton fabric is characterized by a soft structure, ample elasticity, and fluffy fibers. When processed using traditional rope-like boiling and bleaching equipment, the fabric tends to entwine and rub against each other, leading to issues such as fabric fuzzing, increased hairiness, longitudinal creases, and localized abrasions. These problems compromise the fabric's smooth texture and affect the uniformity of subsequent dyeing. The continuous open-width boiling and bleaching machine adopts a fully flat processing mode, catering to the pretreatment needs of various knitted fabrics and structurally avoiding the inherent defects of rope-like processing.
The front end of the equipment is equipped with an automatic spreading mechanism, which can smoothly spread the circular knitted fabric into a flat surface, correcting issues such as edge curling and wrinkles on the fabric surface, ensuring that the fabric enters subsequent processes in a flat state. The spread knitted fabric passes through alkali pad-batch, constant temperature steaming, oxidative bleaching, and multi-stage washing units in sequence, completing the scouring and bleaching pretreatment processes. In the pad-batch process, the chemical solution evenly penetrates the fabric, decomposing impurities such as pectin, wax, and natural pigments inside the fibers; the steaming process provides a stable reaction environment to ensure the full decomposition and removal of impurities.
The water washing section adopts a low-impact countercurrent cleaning mode, where the gentle water flow scours impurities from the fabric surface without causing friction damage to the knitted fibers. The equipment maintains a low-tension operating state throughout the entire process, matching the elastic properties of knitted fabrics to avoid stretching deformation and loss of original elasticity. Workers can flexibly adjust the steaming duration, chemical solution concentration, and processing speed according to the weight and type of knitted fabric. The knitted grey fabric processed by the equipment has a smooth and clean surface, with no creases, minimal fuzz, and uniform whiteness, providing a high-quality grey fabric foundation for subsequent mercerizing, dyeing, and setting processes.
